Alexander Daub is many things all at once. Though he trained as a painter, Alexander always wanted to create striking, unusual things, objects that move beyond typical mediums and bring beauty into the everyday.

His creative process draws on a lifetime of collecting—childhood treasure hunts would eventually become hours-long adventures scouring flea markets for the good and the great. Alexander can hardly resist special treasures. And he puts his prizes to work in the tables he dreams of.

His inspiration can come from anywhere and everywhere. When he daydreams, he does so in the truest sense. His ideas get bigger and crazier until something new and wonderful has come to life.

Each of Alexander's table series tells a unique and fascinating story through carefully selected materials and objects. His work aims to freeze moments in time while encouraging thought and conversation when people dine, work or simply chat around them.
